One of our goats that has never had a bad hair day in his life.
-
We've been looking around for the comb, and we haven't found it, he must have a great hiding spot because he's had this perfect hair for a while now.
-
He would give James Dean a run for his money. If there's anyone out there looking for new clients for some goat related beauty product, he's your goat!
-
We are still hanging in there after the snow and we hope that the weather for the next few days is at least clear enough for things to start drying up. All of our animals are covered in mud and certainly not maintaining their hair like this.
-
Our new babies on an early Sunday morning with the sun rising.
-
We pride ourselves on being an ACTIVE Animal Rescue. Our lives may be extremely difficult at times, but that's okay. We know we are here for a reason, and its to find homes for animals that wouldn't have a chance without us.
-
Without our open arms these little miracles would have ended up in the trash. Literally. There is no mercy for little ones, especially in a slaughter house. They are not treated like living breathing individuals, they are treated like waste products from an incredibly cruel industry. We could not imagine the horrors these poor little ones would have went through had they not been born on our Sanctuary.
-
It's a shame that in our line of work there are many organizations that don't have the animals as their top priority. They rely on enormous advertising budgets and deceptive tactics to get you to support them, while at the same time are reluctant to take in any new animals. The next time you visit your local Sanctuary, focus on the amount of animals that they actually have. To date we have over 400 animals on our property. The Sanctuary at Soledad is run by just a handful of people, and some amazing volunteers. When you visit us, you know we are the real deal, and you can see just how many animals we have opened our doors to.
-
We need your help. We are very close to $3,000 on our Patreon, which is absolutely incredible. It would be a blessing to be able to reach that by the end of February, so we can continue our mission of rescuing and rehoming as many animals as we can. The calls never stop, and unfortunately cruelty to animals won't be stopping anytime soon. -
Today we are not able to be at the Grove Farmer's Market. We would love to put up a fight, but the reality is that the Grove Farmer's Market doesn't need us and everytime we are there we are thankful.
-
If you care about animals, and want to see a brighter future for these innocent beings, please help us reach our goal of $3,000 on Patreon for this month. Every single donation goes towards giving animals a new lease on life.

🎉 NEW RESCUE🎉
-
Meet our newest hen rescue, she was brought to us at the Grove Farmers Market, where we are at right now!
-
She was clucking too loud and neighbors called animal control and they had nowhere else to take this sweetheart.
-
Unfortunately because of natural animal behavior she was taken from her friends and is now under our care for the rest of her life.
-
Believe us, animals in need of new homes never stop coming and we would love to be able to rescue even more animals than we have.
-
We continue to ask for your continued support through our Patreon account. As much as we love meeting new animal lovers at the Grove, we should be at home being around our animals and holding open houses instead of here selling merchandise.
-
If you can support us and we can hit $3,000 this month on Patreon we would be ecstatic! That would help us out so much with all the new rescues that we've recently been blessed with.

A miracle that almost wasn't. WE DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP. (Swipe left for more)
-
This beautiful mother was lucky enough to join us before she went on her way to be slaughtered. We received a call last weekend about a pig that was going to be slaughtered unless we took her in.
-
This poor girl was part of a small pig farm run by an elderly couple. The husband passed away suddenly, and the widow was not able to tend to the the pigs anymore. She was placed into a retirement home, and this poor pig was given to the other family members. They didn't see her as anything but food, so they had no problem sending her to slaughter.
-
Fortunately for us one of the family members had a change of heart and reached out to take her in and give her a forever home. We have other Hampshire's here, and we knew she would be a perfect fit even though our right now we cannot afford another mouth to feed.
-
She was pregnant when we received her and we had NO IDEA. She gave birth to FIVE new babies days after we received her.
-
WE NEED HELP TO SUPPORT THESE BABIES. -
To continue bringing miracles into this world in the future, we NEED to raise our Patreon to $3,000 by the end of the month. This is a very critical time for us, and we want to give these babies the best of treatment.
-
If we cannot make it to $3,000 our doors are closed to any more potential rescues, and that means sweet girls like this, and her babies might not have seen the light of day, had it not been for us.
-
Animal sanctuaries that have the largest budgets are not getting the job done. They are too focused on increasing their salaries instead of saving lives. Our mission is simple, we try to rescue every single animal that's brought to our gate, ESPECIALLY if the only alternative is sending them to slaughter.
-
Imagine the horror of this mother going through a slaughterhouse to find out she was pregnant. Don't let other animals see that same fate.

Say hello to Frank!
-
Its crazy how fast time is moving, it just felt like yesterday when we picked him up and our 2 other baby goats. He was on his way to slaughter and we can't even imagine not having him around.
-
He has so much personality he reminded us of Frank Sinatra, and those blue eyes are enough to make any lady goat buckle at the knees!
-
We always need to think about the way we treat animals and what we do to them. A lot of people don't know this, but in the goat dairy industry, males are completely useless. When males are born they are sent straight to slaughter, without even a chance at life. When you buy goat dairy products you are supporting that cycle. Please think about your purchases and what you inevitability support with those dollars.
-
Fortunately for us we were just a small dairy, and all of our babies male and female lived out their entire lives with us.
-
If you are feeling generous this Wednesday, please show your compassion towards the work we do at giving these sweet souls a chance at life. Without us Frank would never have been able to greet the world with his personality and wit.
-
Please show your thanks by signing up to Patreon. We have awesome content being uploaded frequently and by signing up to our Patreon you help us continue to save animals without a hope in the world at a peaceful, and cruelty-free life. In fact by contributing, you actively support our rescue efforts directly and help raise these sweet souls for the rest of their natural lived.

S.a.S. needs your ❤
-
Since we started this Sanctuary, we constantly feel like we've been taken advantage of.
-
People love to dump innocent animals on us and disappear for good.
-
Being the animal lovers we are, we have never turned an animal away in need. Our kindness is constantly taken advantage of, and because of this we have a lot of animals we never planned on keeping, just watching after for a few weeks, which turns into months, and then forever. This week alone you heard about the lovely story of Homer (which worked out perfectly). But we haven't been able to tell you about our current predicament, Billy Bob our new rescued pot belly pig. We'll tell you more this week, once we figure out what's going on. (Stay tuned)
-
We really need additional funding so that we can afford more help and assistance around the Sanctuary, and we wouldn't feel so tied down to individual animals that exhibit behavior issues. We're asking you guys to give some extra love this month to handle all these obstacles we face each and every day. Additional funding would give us some extra peace of mind and stability when we have to handle these unique cases each month. We need help, and we need it today. -
We would ask you to support an amazing cause. We go above and beyond the call to rescue and rehome innocent victims that had the untimely fate to be born into a world that thinks less of these animals. A world that turns a blind eye to animal abuse, negligence, and even animal murder. The Sanctuary at Soledad is a true animal rescue, and sanctuary. We need additional funding to keep our dream alive and to be able to accommodate more animals since the world seems to never be short of animals needing a home.
-
Every dollar we receive from your donations goes to helping out these furry sweethearts, and new residents to have a place at here at SaS.
